Sculpture workshop: Air dry clay
I’ll BRING THE ART FUN TO YOU!
Location within Perth, WA: your workplace, school, house, a hall, or any other suitable venue
The art session is just over 1 hour (can be longer, extra fees apply).
This sustainable workshop will teach you techniques on how to mold and hand build with clay. Using recycled materials to create your own stunning clay pieces to take home. Make a unique sculpture or maybe something useful like a planter pot or plate to hold your valuables.
In this clay building workshop, there is no kiln needed! We will use air dry clay which just needs 24hrs - 72hrs to harden, once dried you can display your unique artworks as is or paint them as desired!
Hand building with clay is a therapeutic activity that can help you to relax and reduce stress levels, distracting your mind with creative thought and at the same time keeping your hands active! So why not find your inner creativity and unwind with an enjoyable hour of making.
Decide if you would like a set task or theme for your group to work with or if you would like to keep the theme open, making it a more playful and spontaneous workshop.

Themes:
- Self portrait
- TV characters and heroes
- Biomorphic (living forms)
- Hybrid creatures
- Geometric forms
Tasks:
- Sculptural / ornamental piece
- Planter pot / flower vase
- Stationary / candle holder
- Trinket box with lid
- Decorative plate / bowl
All my workshops are fully mobile:
- I’ll bring the supplies to you - using eco friendly, recycled materials.
- If you require tables and chairs, extra fees may apply.
No experience required:
- Perfect for all ages
- Perfect for groups (enquire within for group limits)
What you'll get:
- 1 hour clay workshop (allow 2 hours).
- Learn some basic handbuilding techniques such as coil, pinch, slab building and more.
- Learn basic elements of sculpture such as line, shape, form, texture.
- Use of clay equipment and Air dry clay (you will make 1-3 pieces to take home in a biodegradable box)
What to bring:
- All materials supplied.
- Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy and cut nails
shorter (if possible), so they don't get in the way of making.

This group workshop is ideal for birthday parties of all ages, bridal parties and team building activities at your school or workplace!

Group Prices:
Workshop Artist hire: $100 per hour
Workshop Assistant (required for 15 kids and over and 20 adults and over): $50 per hour
Workshop Artist with all materials included: $100 p/hr + $35 - $55 per person
*prices may vary according to group numbers - 30 people max per workshop*
Take Home Packs:
Starter paint kits: $10 per person
PLEASE NOTE:
Following this workshop, your clay work will need up to 72 hours to air dry. Once dry you can paint and seal them to make them water resistant -
Starter paint kits available to purchase. Air dry clay is not food - safe!
